(New York, NY) – The roast of Tom Brady has made a little bit of a ripple on social media.
People have been sharing clips and getting some laughs. The full length roast is available to watch on Netflix if you so wish. Chances are that Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen will not be tuning in anytime soon.
Sources are telling People magazine that Bündchen is “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family,” during the roast. That source continued: “As always, [Bündchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.”
And to be sure there were some shots taken – including by comedian Kevin Hart, who kicked off the roast by mocking Brady and Bündchen’s failed marriage.
Hart said “When you got a chance to go 8-9 and all it will cost you is your wife and your kids, you gotta do what the f–k you gotta do.” That was a clear reference to Brady “unretiring,” which arguably unraveled the couple’s relationship. Hart’s barbs also mentioned Bündchen’s relationship with her jiu jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente. ““How did you not see this coming?” Hart asked. “Eight f–king karate classes a day and she’s still a white belt!”
Even Brady’s ex-teammate Drew Bledsoe got in on the act, noting that while he’s celebrated a 28th wedding anniversary – Brady has not.
Comedian Nikki Glaser took an atypical route in teasing Brady – mentioning rings. The longtime Patriots QB has seven Super Bowl rings. Glazer noted, “You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back.”
The couple divorced in 2022. Bündchen’s disappointment was expanded on by the source’s continued comments to People. The supermodel and Brazil native has been in her home country helping out following devastating floods.
“She was concerned about family affected by the devastating floods, so to hear her life being joked about was very disappointing,” the source explained. “This past week, Gisele has been tirelessly dedicated to aiding those in need in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is grappling with the worst flooding in its history,” the source said of Bündchen.
Afterall, while Brady clearly signed up for the roast, it’s unlikely Bündchen was consulted. The couple shares son Benjamin and daughter Vivian. Brady is also a dad to his son Jack, who he had during his previous relationship with Bridget Moynahan.
