(Nashville, TN) – After sitting as one of the biggest question marks in the free agent market this offseason, Jamal Adams and the Tennessee Titans have agreed on a one year contract.

A trade that was underwhelming for Seattle during Adams’ time with the team was officially declared a failed operation with his release in March.

Adams played in just one more game than he missed for the Seahawks after being traded for a package that included two first-round picks. The Jets were able to use the deal to rebuild with a young core, drafting stars Alijah Vera-Tucker and Garrett Wilson in consecutive years.

The former LSU star never lived up to the All-Pro standard he had set during his time in New York. Taken with the 6th overall pick in 2017, Adams was a two-time Pro Bowler and an All-Pro in 2019 with the Jets.

He was once again selected to the Pro Bowl in 2020, breaking a record for defensive backs with 9.5 sacks. Unfortunately, Adams never recorded another sack as a Seahawk and only played a combined 10 games in 2022 and 2023.

Adams will look to resurrect his once promising career in Tennessee, playing under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, who was his defensive backs coach during a career year in 2019.
