Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is out for Week 5.

Pitts was trending towards a Week 5 inactive all week as he failed to log a practice. The Falcons now enter Sunday as massive underdogs vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Parker Hesse could see an increase in pass routes and targets with Pitts sidelined but is clearly not a recommended fantasy option. The Falcons will now be without two top skill players on Sunday (Cordarrelle Patterson.) It’s a small upgrade for Drake London, who continues to see elite utilization. The Falcons rookie WR ranks second in target share (34.4%) – just behind Cooper Kupp.

Pitts has been a colossal fantasy bust through the first four weeks of the season. The second year all-world pass catcher has failed to surpass 25 receiving yards in 3/4 of the Falcons games. With Atlanta trending to a run heavy offense it’s almost mathematically impossible Pitts will ever justify his pre-season ADP. He projects as a middle of the road TE1 moving forward.
