PFN’s Aaron Wilson reports that James Conner (ribs) has been ruled out for Week 6 and “perhaps additional time.”
Darrell Williams is also expected to miss the Cardinals mouth watering contest vs. a Seahawks defense allowing 43PPG over the last two weeks. Eno Benjamin is expected to take most of Conner’s role, which mathematically makes him a strong start this week.
Wilson also reporter Keontay Ingram is “expected” to be active in Seattle. Arizona also signed Corey Clement to the practice squad with Conner and Darrel Williams ailing.
Conner has been one of the leagues biggest disappointment this year ranking as the RB29. After compiling 200+ touches in-tune to 18 total touchdowns last year – Connor continues to trend in the wrong direction just one year later. He’s failed to rush for more than 55 yards in a single game and is averaging a bottom barrel 3.7 yard per carry though his first 54 attempts.
Benjamin, who had eight rushes for 25 yards and three receptions for 28 yards last week against Philadelphia, should be picked up in all 12-team formats. Seattle is allowing the seventh highest EPA per rush through Week 5.
