Just like that, it’s already Week 7. Time flies when you’re having fun? Or maybe you’re in a deep dark depression and cried yourself to sleep after Justin Herbert got seven fantasy points and lost a must-win game? I wont say which end I’m on.
Regardless, here are two players all owners should be targeting this week on the waiver wire.
Washington Commanders RB – Brian Robinson 50% Owned
Starting fantasy running backs don’t grow on trees and Brian Robinson has the chance to be that. The 23-year old rookie rushed 17 times for 60 yards and a touchdown in the Commanders’ Week 6 win over the Bears. Robinson was far less efficient than Antonio Gibson, but coach Ron Rivera stuck with Robinson as his lead runner even after Gibson helped sparked the offense with some powerful running early in the second half. It’s obvious Rivera is clearly over the Gibson experiment. Despite playing in just 48% of the teams snaps, owners should be optimistic that numbers will only increase. It was a 20% jumped from Week 5 (debut) – and the most carries a Commanders RB’s has compiled all season long. Remember, starting RB’s don’t grow on trees, especially not in free agency.
Arizona Cardinals WR – Rondale Moore 46% Owned
The 22-year old caught 6-of-10 targets (team high) for 49 yards in the Cardinals’ Week 6 loss to the Seahawks. Moore, the slot specialist, manned his accustomed role, but was less efficient than last week, despite an uptick in usage. For those keeping track, he averaged 4.9 yards per target against Seattle. The Cardinals’ offense now takes a 180-spin. Out goes Marquise Brown, enter DeAndre Hopkins/Robbie Anderson. Despite the moving caracole at the WR position, the second-year WR should maintain his role in the slot. The arrow is pointing up after 10 targets and a 99% snap share. On tap week 7, a date with a Saints’ defense that’s been exposed through the air the last two games.
