Houston Texans WR Brandin Cooks
Despite struggling through the first six weeks of the season, the 29-year is in the position for a great bounce-back spot on Sunday. His numbers across the board have been uninspiring so far, but one constant remains the same: targets. Cook is averaging 8.4 targets per game which is on pace with his career average. The problem? The Texans’ inept pass game thanks to their check-down master Davis Mills.
Cooks is fantasy’s WR51 though six weeks but the schedule has been difficult. 3-of-5 of the Texans’ games came against top five secondary’s (IND,DEN,CHI.) Up next for Week 7 is a trip to Sin City. The Raiders rank 20th against receiver’s, but the last two weeks have been blowups as WR’s have complied 69.6 fantasy points vs. Josh McDaniels’ defense.
Both teams are fresh off a bye, and expect the Texans to get back to the basics; getting the the ball to their best player. Draft Kings lists Cooks O/U Rec yards at 62.5 despite the veteran not surpassing that mark since Week 1. They’re onto something.
Give me Brandin Cooks OVER 100 yards this Sunday. Book it.
