The news broke earlier today that New York Jets standout rookie running back Breece Hall would be shut down for the year after tearing his ACL against Denver yesterday.

Hall flourished for Gang Green, becoming the first running back to rush for a touchdown in four straight games since a man by the name of Thomas Jones did it back in 2009. The Iowa State product compiled 681 yards from scrimmage and five touchdowns though his first seven NFL contests. He was certainly in the drivers seat for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The loss of Hall was a gut punch to the organization and to all of the Gang Green faithful.

Another Day, another Joe Douglas resume booster. Last night the Jets GM traded a 6th round draft pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for running back James Robinson.

Robinson has prove he can be a lethal dual threat back for any offense. In 2020, the undrafted free agent rushed for an NFL record 1,414 yards from scrimmage. Jaguars rookie running back Travis Etienne has gradually taken over as the lead back for Jacksonville, so the move seemingly made sense for both parties.

In only took Joe Douglas four hours to fill the missing void that rookie sensation Breece Hall left. Robinson should fit perfectly in the Mike LaFleur offense and is a great compliment to second year running back Michael Carter.
