NHL: New York Rangers at New York Islanders
Elmont, NY –
The New York Rangers faced off against town rivals the New York Islanders Wednesday night at UBS Arena- and while both teams haven’t seen a win in over a week, the Isles added to the continued losing streak of the New York Rangers taking a 3-0 victory.
Kyle Palmieri walked away from last night’s game with 2 goals and Josh Bailey with 1.
Wednesday night’s loss marks for the fourth consecutive in a row – for the first time since the Rangers dropped five straight losses in the 2020-2021 season.
The Rangers put up a total of 87 shots over the last two games and only have a a total of two goals to show for it. Adding to that, the Blueshirts went 0 for 3 on the power play, making the Rangers 1 for 15 in the last four games.
At the start of the season, NYR’s offense was amongst the best in the league, but over the course of the last few games that title is now dwindling.
