NFL: Miami Dolphins at Chicago Bears
Death, Taxes and Running Back By Committees. As we wrap up week 9, here is a running back all owners needs to stash immediately.
Jeff Wilson 44% Owned
Jeff Wilson rushed nine times for 51 yards in Miami’s Week 9 win over Chicago, adding three catches for 21 yards and a touchdown. In his first game with the Dolphins the veteran played 50% of snaps in the Week 9 win over the Bears. Raheem Mostert, notably, played 46% of snaps. In other words, Wilson led the Dolphins’ backfield in his first game with the team.
Th 26-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline reuniting head coach Mike McDaniel and running back Raheem Mostert after the three spent the last several seasons together in San Francisco.
It’s a bullish sign regarding Wilson’s role going forward, and a concerning development for Mostert owners. This backfield is looking like a full-blown committee just one week into Wilson’s arrival. The good news is that both backs look to have value in a a elite offense and playing a bad Browns rush defense in Week 10. It’s fair to assume Wilson will lead the team in touches after his strong performance Sunday.
He needs to be owned everywhere.
