Death, Taxes and buying low on underperforming fantasy players. It’s the name of the game if you haven’t realized. Here’s a running back owners should consider buying heading to Week 10
D’Andre Swift RB34
It’s been ugly. Take it from a D’Andre Swift shareholder. The guy has been straight up tiring. After exploding on the scene for 175 total yards Week 1 – Swift has been on a trajectory downward spiral. Between injuries and losing touches to Jamaal Williams, the 23-year old has become a massive disappointment.
So why buy low?
His value is the lowest it will ever be. Swift comes off another egg Week 9 in which the 2020 second-round pick played just 15% of the Lions snaps. This number has to go up. It’s almost mathematically impossible to go down. He’s too talented.
Despite the latter, Jamaal Williams seeing the lion share of the snaps (non pun indented) – D’Andre Swift is the better running back. Speaking Monday, coach Dan Campbell told reporters that the Lions are hopeful they can give Swift “a little bit more this week.”
As Swift gets healthier, which it appears he is, expect him to be more involved in this offense. Owners are frustrated with him and likely are ready to move on. Test the waters, and see if you can buy low on an elite talent.
