Fresh off the injured reserve, Cobb brought in all six targets for 73 yards in the Packers’ 27-17 loss to the Titans on Thursday night.
The veteran was immediately productive in his return from a four-game absence, leading the Packers in receptions and receiving yards. Cobb’s catch and yardage totals were his second highest of the season. The 32-year-old is now averaging 9.5 targets and 86.1 yards over his last two healthy games.
Cobb’s snap rate wasn’t up to the pre-injury levels that fantasy managers had grown accustomed to (56%) – but one could view that as a positive considering he still led the team in receiving.
It’s fair to assume that Cobb is Aaron Rodgers most trusted target, suggesting the slot specialist has sneaky flex value for the remainder of season value.
The Packers go to Philly to play the Eagles on Sunday night.
The Spin:
Randall Cobb surely won’t win you a fantasy league but there is path to every week value in a Packers offense legitimately desperate for pass catchers. Matt LaFleur said Romeo Doubs (ankle) doesn’t have a “great chance” to return in Week 12 suggesting the rookie is still multiple weeks away from game action.
