Justin Fields said he suffered a separated shoulder with a partially torn ligament and called it “basically an AC joint” injury.

Fields took part in the team’s walkthrough today, but his comments aren’t very encouraging. The 23-year-old said he was dealing with pain while handing the ball off and on the follow-through of his throws during practice. Fields said that if the Bears’ game was on Wednesday, he would not be able to play.

It sounds like the sophomore sensation is on the wrong side of questionable for Week 12. With virtually nothing to play for, it makes sense for the Bears to sit him for a week.  Trevor Siemian would draw the start if Fields is indeed held out.

Fantasy owners should be heading into Week 11 with a proper contingency plan. Fields is fantay’s QB4 this year.
