If you’re thinking about whether or not Damar Hamlin will ever play professional football again—you wouldn’t be alone.
Appearing on SiriusXM’s Doctor Radio show “Heart to Heart”, NFL Players Association Medical Director Thom Mayer said “I guarantee he will play professional football again.”
“I don’t want to get into HIPAA issues, but I guarantee you, I guarantee you, Veronica, that Damar Hamlin will play professional football again,” Mayor assertively said yesterday.
The comments are the first time a person with medical knowledge and a direct connection to Hamlin has suggested the 24-year-old will play in the NFL again.
That statement seems to have caught the attention of many people in and outside the league, considering the frightening scene on that Monday Night football game in Cincinnati on January 2nd, when Hamlin took a hit sending him to cardiac arrest.
First responders on the field, had to revive him twice.
The road to recovery has been nothing short of a miracle.
If Hamlin does return to the gridiron — the only question at the moment is when.
