Surprise, surprise: Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson’s pending extension will be a huge priority this offseason.

As the NFL Scouting Combine kicks off, multiple head coaches and general managers from the NFL’s 30 clubs are taking the podium to talk about their plans for the near future.

VIkings GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah made it very clear where things stand with All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson. “I don’t want to be the Vikings’ GM without that guy on our team,” Adofo-Mensah said to the media. “…it’s a high priority. We’ve got to make sure we do in the order that we can do it in, obviously, given all of our other decisions we have to make.”

It is widely known that Jefferson is in for a huge payday. The question is not a matter of when he will be paid but rather, how much. The 24-year-old stud led the NFL in receptions (128) and yards (1,809). At one point, it was very feasible that Jefferson would go on to break the all-time single-season yardage mark.

Although he ultimately did not earn that title, there’s no doubt tallying the sixth-highest receiving yards in a single year earned him big money.

If you want to get deeper into the weeds, Jefferson is on a “GOAT” trajectory, considering his 4,825 career yards are the most ever by a receiver in his first three seasons.  Numbers like those all but guarantee Jefferson will become the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history. Tyreek Hill is currently cashing in on a four-year, 120-million-dollar extension, with 72 million guaranteed.

When you look up resetting the market in the dictionary, best believe a picture of Justin Jefferson will be there very soon.
