(New York, NY) – We’re nearly three weeks removed from Super Bowl LVII, but the games continue – on social media. After the Chiefs come-from-behind victory over the Eagles, players on both teams have traded barbs on Twitter and TikTok.
At the center of the entire drama is Kansas City wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. His penchant for TikTok videos goes back to his days in Pittsburgh. A newly produced video is keeping this entire affair going.
The new video features content creator Brenden Clinton as well as Smith-Schuster. It’s a skit that involves flashbacks and a re-enacted kidnapping, ultimately ending with a scene that suggests Philly wideout A.J. Brown is a “TikTok” baby. The video also refers to the Eagles players and coaching staff “dropping the ball.” This continues a war of words between both receivers.
In response to the latest video, Brown responded that his social media counterpart needs to find someone else to “play with,” adding Smith-Schuster shouldn’t “let that ring get you beat tf up.” Other Eagles players responded as well. Cornerback Darius Slay called the new video “lame.” Fellow defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson declared “don’t engage in kids games,” adding his DMs were open for further discussion.
The first day of the NFL’s new season is March 15. Will this beef be fully cooked by then?
