Colin Cowherd Reveals Shocking NFC QB Ranks

unnamed-1

( New York, NY) — Controversial radio host Colin Cowherd is at it again. This time, he’s receiving backlash (rightfully so) after releasing his inexplicable NFC QB rankings.

On Tuesday, Cowherd outlined the top quarterbacks in the conference on “The Herd.” Though he’s generally accustomed to top-10 lists, Cowherd couldn’t bring himself to move past name No. 8.

“I can’t do a nine,” Cowherd said. “And I can’t do a 10. I can’t do it. Don’t even ask me to put  Daniel Jones or Brock Purdy on there. I can’t do it.”

Here’s Cowherd’s list:

    1. Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams
    2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
    3. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions
    4. Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
    5. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
    6. Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
    7. Kirk Cousins, Minnesota Vikings
    8. Geno Smith, Seattle Seahawks

Right off the jump, Matthew Stafford at the top makes this list immediately invalid. Despite winning a Super Bowl just two seasons ago, the Rams QB simply put, is not the best QB in the NFC.

Colin reasoning? “No. 1 high school quarterback, No. 1 college quarterback at Georgia, No. 1 draft pick. The year they won the Super Bowl, he threw for 6,000 yards and 50 TDs. He’s an elite talent, he’s getting older, he’s been banged up. But nobody doubts the no-looks throws, big-time A++ arm. When the Rams gave him protection, he was a machine.”

The radio host fails to mention Stafford has finished with a losing record in 8/14 of seasons en route to pedestrian 89-101 career record. Also, Stafford’s accolades are minimal. He’s never finished top 5 in MVP voting and made just one Pro-Bowl. But sure, whatever you say Colin.

We can dissect the list from top to bottom, but listing an aging 35-year-old with severe arm issues the top QB in the NFC is where you lose me.  Let’s not even start with Jared Goff at three.

Better luck next time Cowherd. But hey, he did his job… he has us talking
