(New York, NY) — It seems inevitable, doesn’t it?
Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall hopped Twitter on Monday afternoon to take a victory lap of sorts. What victory?
Aaron Rodgers.
“Y’all shud see this smile on me rn,” Wilson tweeted, complete with a crying emoji.
Hall tweeted, “The Cheese Head did it,” referencing the bonfire where Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner torched a cheesehead.
Their reactions were on the toes of a Trey Wingo report which said “Hearing Rodgers to the Jets is done. History about to repeat itself between New York and Green Bay. Time is indeed a flat circle.”
While ESPN’s Adam Schefter also said Monday that there are “mounting indications” Rodgers will eventually be a Jet, the quarterback hasn’t said a thing on the issue. It’s unclear if Wilson and Hall have any additional information or if they are merely reacting to the public’s good news on their end.
If their reactions prove to be premature, it would be a humiliating social media moment. But if not, it’s perhaps a well-deserved moment of braggadocio. Who gets to say they play with Aaron Rodgers?
