(New York, NY) – After being traded to the Minnesota Twins, and then the Los Angeles Angels – his current club – New York Yankees fans still hold infielder Gio Urshela deep in their hearts.
He spoke to WABC’s Mike Daddino when the Angels were in town earlier this week at the stadium.

From the responses on social media, it’s clear Urshela is still beloved.
Some of those include, “Gonna jump off a cliff. I MISS HIM SO F***** MUCH.” “CRYING WE MISS YOU.” And, “I’m not crying ur crying.” For his part, Urshela expressed similar feelings, saying being back in the Bronx brings up great memories, and that he’s happy to return.
During the 2020 wild card series he became the first Yankees third baseman to hit a grand slam in the postseason, doing so against his former club the Cleveland Indians (now Guardians). Clearly, his time manning the hot corner left a positive impression on the Bronx faithful.
