(New York, NY) — Let it be known that Eagles pass catcher A.J. Brown is not here comparisons.
The PFF Fantasy Football Twitter page sent out a post asking fans to choose their WR1 – with a graphic of the Eagles All-Pro and Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb.
Brown immediately chimed in, diminishing any resemblance.
“Respectfully stop comparing me to CeeDee Lamb, he plays slot and I play outside and inside,” Brown abruptly tweeted. “Compare him to Cooper Kupp or guys like that were not the same player.”
He later deleted the post.
Brown, 25, excelled for the Eagles in his first season with the team, catching 88 passes for 1,496 yards (franchise record) and 11 touchdowns while guiding the Birds to the Super Bowl.
The 24-year-old Lamb held his own, compiling 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine scores.
While they technically play the same position, Brown does have a point. He does his majority of his work on the outside, stretching the field for the Eagles, while Lamb led all receivers with 867 receiving yards from the slot, per PFF.
As for Eagles and Cowboys fans, however, the debate lives on.
