(New York, NY) — Speaking Thursday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said there is still “no firm timetable” for SS’ (quad) return.
Carroll did put a timetable on having a timetable, however, saying he expected to know more about both Adams and Jordyn Brooks’ (knee) status in “6-8 weeks.”
Seattle General Manager John Schneider also told Rich Eisen that Adams is working hard at rehabbing the injury, but might not be on the field for training camp.
“He’s doing well. The company answer is that we don’t know exactly the timeline. Very bad injury, very unfortunate for Jamal,” Schneider said. “He’s had two years now where he’s been banged up. We want to be really careful with his progression”
After missing nine combined games his first two seasons in Seattle, Adams was limited to only one appearance in 2022. Through three seasons as a Seahawk, Adams has played in 25 games and missed 25 games
That he still remains without a timetable for an injury he suffered last Week 1 is obviously a poor sign.
The Seahawks seem prepared in case Adams does miss more time, as they signed former New York Giants safety Julian Love this offseason.
On the other hand, Carroll just kind of says things when it comes to injuries. We would consider Adams genuinely questionable for the opener against the Rams.
