Report: Kyrie Asked LeBron For Reunion In Dallas

(New York, NY) — In the end, you always go back to the people that were there in the beginning.

Kyrie Irving is reportedly asking LeBron James to reunite with him in Dallas, according to The Athletic.

The two were infamously teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2014 to 2017, winning a championship together in 2016.

The report comes despite Irving not currently being under contract with the Mavericks and James still having one year left on his deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

James, 38, has one year of $46.9 million remaining on his contract and also holds a $50.6 million player option for the 2024-25 season.

Step one would first require Lebron to make a trade request.

James reportedly has a great relationship with head coach Jason Kidd and assistant coach Jared Dudley.

As for James and Doncic? The two have a good relationship that continues to grow. At the start of Doncic’s rookie season in 2018, he revealed that James was his favorite player growing up.

“I always looked at him as my idol,” he said.

For now? Stay tuned. NBA free agency begins on June 30.
