(Muskogee, OK) — Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving NASCAR superstar Jimmie Johnson’s family.
Johnson’s wife’s parents and their 11-year-old grandson have been found dead in a murder-suicide.
Law enforcement says that they believe Terry, 68, shot dead her husband Jack, 69, and Dalton though the motive for the killings is unclear.

Police say the shooting happened at home last night. Officials found a body in a hallway of the home upon arrival and then heard another gunshot coming from inside the house.
A 911 call made by an unidentified woman alerted authorities to someone with a gun at the home before hanging up the phone.
Johnson married Chandra Janway in 2004. The couple has two daughters together.

Muskogee Police Officer Lynn Hamlin said: ‘There appears there’s no threat to the community, so it’s looking very likely that it’s a murder-suicide.’
Johnson, a seven-time NASACAR Cup champion, is schedule to race in a Chicago street event this weekend.
