(Washington, D.C.) — Do not ask Jordan Poole about Draymond Green.

When speaking with the media over the weekend during NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, the new Washington Wizards guard avoided questions about his former Golden State teammate.

“We’re in Washington now…playing with [Kyle Kuzma], great duo. Being able to really flourish, expand your game and help a new team,” Poole said.

“Help lead an entire group of guys, it’s a challenge that we’re up for… Everybody’s locked in, wants to be here, start something that we can have that can be special.”

The Warriors had to deal with an altercation last season that saw Green punch Poole at practice.

Their saga as teammates ended this offseason after the Wizards traded Chris Paul to Golden State for Poole.

But as far as Poole’s time in the Bay Area, it wasn’t all bad, especially considering he played with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

“It’s just things that you learn in practice, in the game, on the road that you wouldn’t be able to learn not being in the mix. And I’m thankful for that,” Poole said. “I’m grateful for that. You learn, you apply it to what your skill set [is], the things that you want to be able to be good at.”
