NFL: Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
NEW ENGLAND — The death of a Patriots fan at Gillette Stadium is currently under investigation by Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s office.
The man, identified as 53-year-old Dale Mooney of Newmarket, New Hampshire, died in the 300s section of the stadium shortly before 11 pm during Sunday night’s game.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death, and no charges have been filed at this time.
“There are no charges in place at this time,” the district attorney’s statement said.
In a separate incident earlier in the game, another fan received medical attention but survived.
No further information is currently available.
