NEW YORK — The Mets top prospect suffered a scary injury on Tuesday night.
Luisangel Acuna (brother of Ronald), was hit in the face by a pitch and appeared to be bloodied in the sixth inning of Double-A Binghamton’s first game of a playoff series against the Yankees’ Somerset Patriots.

Acua, 21, collapsed to the ground and then rose into a squat while receiving assistance from training personnel.
He eventually walked off the field on his own power with bench coach Mariano Duncan and a trainer while he held a towel to his face, which appeared to be bloodied.

The 21-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline in a deal that sent Max Scherzer to the Rangers. With the Rumble Ponies, he is slashing .243/.317/.304 with two home runs, 12 RBI , 25 runs and 15 stolen bases in 37 games.
He was replaced by Mateo Gil, who entered as a pinch runner.
