The start cornerback suffered an injury during an early morning practice session today. The incident occurred during a 1-on-1 period, as reported by Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.“Couple of you saw him leaving the field. So prayers, hoping for the best. Simple as that,” quarterback Dak Prescott said, via Ed Werder of ESPN.
The injury to Diggs deals a massive blow to the Cowboys and their No. 1 ranked defense.

Since being drafted by the team in 2020, Diggs has compiled 18 interceptions in 47 games. He led the league with 11 interceptions in 2021 and already has one interception and one forced fumble this season.
The 25-year-old is fresh off signing a five-year, $97 million contract, but will now work on rehabbing to be back at the start of the 2024 season.
