(Queens, NY) – Noah Syndergaard may or may not be keeping tabs on former love interests.

After being released by the Cleveland Guardians late last month, he’s not currently preparing for a MLB start. But he’s still catching strays from former love interest Alex Cooper – of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

Kicking off the fourth season of her podcast, Cooper was joined by TikTok star Alix Earle. Both women have dated professional athletes previously – Cooper was linked to Syndergaard several years ago, and Earle dated Tyler Wade of the Oakland Athletics. Earle “dished” on what Wade told her about his time playing alongside Syndergaard with the Los Angeles Angels. Apparently, teammates liked to tease Syndergaard about Cooper – who has become an even more popular podcaster since breaking things off with the pitcher nicknamed “Thor.”

Cooper responded to that, “it can give us a little piece of mind, Alix, for everyone s—ting on us for our jobs, to know that people in the MLB locker rooms are forever going to be chanting our names until they f–king retire, which I’m sure mine is on his way out.”

“Mine” in this case being a reference to Syndergaard, her ex. Which is a harsh but potentially true thing to say, as the right handed pitcher’s career is up in the air. Since undergoing Tommy John surgery several years ago, Syndergaard has hardly resembled the pitcher he was when dating Cooper. Back then he threw in the upper 90s, now his fastball hovers closer to 90 mph.

While doing her makeup with Earle, Cooper said of her former flame: “He can’t get a f–king contract. It’s not that I look [at the MLB news], people just send me this s–t.”

It was back in April of 2017 when the New York Post photographed Syndergaard and Cooper kissing while at a Knicks game. They reportedly had an on-again-off-again relationship, and in December of that year Syndergaard identified “baseball” as his significant other, on the platform then known as Twitter.

As for how she recalls that time? Cooper says she enjoyed being in Syndergaard’s orbit: “I was living this very glamorous lifestyle because he was rich. And I was nobody.”

Of course, no one stays on top forever. Syndergaard is looking for a job, and possibly for love. As for Cooper? She’s plenty rich these days. In 2021, she inked a $60 million deal with Spotify to exclusively sell her podcast on the audio streaming platform for three years.
