(New York, NY) – Earlier this week, former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer released a video that suggests he was the victim of a shakedown campaign. While he was publicly accused by Lindsey Hill of physical abuse in 2021, Bauer has always maintained his innocence, and shared screenshots of text messages.

Those texts, and the metadata that’s reportedly associated with them, indicate Hill discussed Bauer’s net worth with a friend – and the ability to be “an absolute whore” to get some of his $51 million.

In a separate text, Hill allegedly refers to Bauer as her “next victim.” She’s since explained that away by saying she’s dated several MLB players and jokingly used the term “victim” in that context.

Now, the site Legal Affairs and Trials has released a lengthy phone call between Hill and Bauer. The 27-minute recording was reportedly produced by the Pasadena Police Department in collaboration with Hill. It dates back to May 22, 2021. In it, Hill says, “I really do appreciate all your sweet messages and stuff and, like, they do make me better. … The thing for me is, like, it’s kind of like blurry for me, obviously, because I was like coming out of, like, in and out of consciousness.” Hill continued: “So I did ask you to hit me?”

And after a short pause, Bauer said, “Yeah.” Bauer, who pitched in Japan this past season after being released by the LA Dodgers following Hill’s allegations – has said the pair had “rough sex” that was consensual.

Some select portions of the call were highlighted by the New York Post, including when Hill asked, “I’m trying to wrap my head around it because obviously, like, I’m in a lot of pain, and I don’t remember, like, specifically asking you to, like, hit me. Like, did you mean to hit me that hard?”

The response from Bauer: “No, and like, that’s why it’s confusing. I didn’t feel like I hit you that hard, you know? And certainly, like, I tried telling you multiple times, ‘Do you want to stop? Are you OK?’ And, like, you said to keep going. So I just was trying to follow your lead on it.”

Hill later said she’d been hospitalized, noting she didn’t want a “free for all,” and mentioned “boundaries.” Bauer addressed her points saying, “we, like, checked multiple times about having a safe word and, like, and all that, like, I thought that it was, like — I thought you were OK. I would check multiple times like, ‘Hey are you OK? You want to stop or not?’ You said no. So, like, I was — that was kinda my way of, like, trying to make sure that we weren’t crossing any boundaries.”

As a result of the initial allegations, Bauer was suspended by MLB for roughly two full seasons. That was then eventually reduced to 194 games by an arbitrator. It’s unclear if Bauer would want to pitch in MLB again, or if there would be interest from the various clubs.
