TEXAS — Max Scherzer has returned.

The 39-year-old will take the mound in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Astros, marking his first outing in over a month after he strained his teres muscle in his right shoulder.

“Just trying to get back in the flow of things and just get in my routines, and I get to pitch,” Scherzer said. “You know, thrilled about that. What an opportunity to go out there and get to pitch in the ALCS. This is what you dream of.”
