NFL: Super Bowl LVII-Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles
(Florham Park, NJ) – This week on the “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast, the two NFL brothers sounded off on the New York Jets.
Given Travis’ Chiefs recently played the Jets, and Jason’s Eagles just suffered their first loss against them last weekend – both men are well qualified to give an opinion.
First and foremost, after years in which the Jets dealt with constant front office turnover and a revolving door at head coach, Robert Saleh seems to have earned the respect of the league.
One day after QB Aaron Rodgers praised Saleh on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Travis Kelce heaped similar praise on the coach: “I think (he) has got it figured out,” going on to call the Jets a well coached team.
What did Jason Kelce see from the trenches, as Gang Green engineered an impressive comeback against Philadelphia? “(Their) defense played unbelievable, we knew they were a good defense even down their two corners, this is a team that has played well against everybody they’ve played against… This is not a team you can make mistakes against and expect to win the game and it killed us.”
So, after early season struggles – and the seemingly devastating loss of Rodgers to an Achilles injury – the Jets have life, and they’re earning respect. Plus, don’t look now – but Rogers could return sooner than expected.
