(Cleveland, OH) — The Cleveland Browns have added a Super Bowl winning quarterback to its practice squad.

ESPN reports Joe Flacco agreed to a deal to join the team on Sunday. The Browns worked out Flacco on Friday as Cleveland looked to add a third quarterback with Deshaun Watson out for the season with a fractured shoulder.

It is expected that Flacco will get promoted to the active roster, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates on Sunday.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson started for the Browns in their Week 11 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Cleveland. The rookie completed 24 of 43 passes for 165 yards and an interception but led the Browns on a game-winning field goal drive in the final seconds.

The team also has PJ Walker on the roster.

Flacco, 38, last played for the New York Jets during the 2022 season and previously won Super Bowl in 2013 with the Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland is 7-3 and faces the Denver Broncos on the road next weekend.
