New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll talks to reporters before mandatory minicamp at the Giants training center in East Rutherford on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

NEW YORK — Giants head coach Brian Daboll said Tommy DeVito will start in Week 14 against the Packers, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

The Giants return from a Week 13 bye, and the team designated Tyrod Taylor (ribs) for return from injured reserve Monday, raising some question marks about who may be under center for the team Week 14.

DeVito has started each of the last three games leading the team to a 2-1 record while throwing six touchdown passes and only one interception.

The 25-year-old has completed at least 68 percent of his passes and finished with a passer rating over 100 in his last two games – becoming just the fifth undrafted rookie in the common draft era to win at least two of his first three starts.

“I just control what I can control . [Taylor’s] awesome. I’ve learned so many things. You can tell why he’s been in the league for 13 years, it’s for a reason. He’s been the best mentor I could’ve asked for.”

The team also waived quarterback Matt Barkley on Monday and released quarterback Jacob Eason from the practice squad.
