FLORIDA — Rescue crews and firefighters were abruptly called to action Wednesday afternoon responding to a fire at Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s mansion in Southwest Ranches.
Helicopters hovered over Hill’s $6.9 million mansion which was completely engulfed in smoke.
It was unclear what caused the fire, but team officials said Hill was made aware of the incident during Wednesday’s practice and left to attend to the matter.
The Miami Dolphins released a statement on the incident:
“Tyreek has been in communication with his family. Everyone is out of the house and safe at this time. He has also left practice to deal with the situation,”
Footage showed Hill, wearing a white T-shirt, dark sweatpants and a boot on his left foot, arriving back at the home and hugging family members.
The fire appeared to be extinguished by around 3 p.m.
Hill, 29 moved into the home in 2022 shortly after he was traded to the Dolphins by the Kansas City Chiefs and signed a four-year, $120 million contract.
