PHILADELPHIA — All good things must come to an end.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Eagles C Jason Kelce told teammates he is retiring after 13 NFL seasons.
The six-time first-team All Pro was emotional at the end of the Eagles’ blowout loss to the underdog Bucs on Monday night and reportedly told fellow Eagles players that he would hang it up.

Kelce declined to talk with reporters in the locker room after the game, saying: “No guys, not today.”

“I love him,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said. “He’s special and I love him. He’s one of the most special guys I’ve been around. He’s always got a place here.”

The 36-year-old is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

“He’s a legend in the city — really in the league,” Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said. “I don’t want to do a disservice to him and the things he’s been able to do and overcome. His journey to where he is now didn’t come easy. It’s been a long, long time coming for him, and every year since I’ve been here it’s been, ‘Are you going to come back?’
Kelce played 13 seasons in the NFL, all of them with the Eagles. He retires having been named to the Pro Bowl seven times and six first-team All-Pros. He was Philadelphia’s NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee in 2021.
