(Baltimore, MD) – While Lamar Jackson has just brought home his second career MVP award, some football fans still have doubts – doubts that head coach John Harbaugh finds head-shaking.
There is no question as to whether or not Lamar Jackson is a special football player. His threat as an accurate passer and elite runner make him a headache for any opposing defense. The league has not seen the likes of such a player since Michael Vick, and many can argue that Jackson does it better.
The criticism comes however with Jackson’s lack of postseason success. He has gone just 2-4 in the postseason through the first six years of his career with only 9 touchdowns to 12 turnovers.
When speaking about his expectations for Lamar’s future, John Harbaugh was not bashful. “The vision that we have together is that Lamar Jackson is going to become and be known and be recognized as the greatest quarterback ever to play in the history of the National Football League.”
“That’s the vision. It’s going to happen by Lamar, his work ethic and his brilliant talent, by all of us pouring into that effort together as a team, and by the grace of God and God’s good will. That’s how it’s going to happen. And I believe it like we’ve already seen it.”
Harbaugh has proven he can win the big one with a Super Bowl title in his nearly two-decade tenure in Baltimore. Jackson will need to follow suit and bring a championship to Charm City before he can enter into immortal status.
