The Juice is Loose at Jets’ Camp

Florham Park, NJ -- July 27, 2024 -- The Jets fire up their fans at the start of training camp this morning.

(Florham Park, NJ) – Jarvis Landry is attempting an NFL comeback, most recently trying out with the Jets on Thursday.

Landry spent 9 seasons in the NFL with the Dolphins, Browns, and Saints, making the Pro Bowl every season from 2015-2019. His production has gradually declined since then with a career-low 272 yards in New Orleans in 2022.

Although he led the league in receptions in 2017, it looks like the receiver’s best days are behind him. The Jets are in need of receiver depth as they go all-in on a Super Bowl run, but Landry doesn’t appear to be the man for the job.

At 24 years-old, newly signed Isaiah Winstead out of the UFL makes much more sense for the back-end of the roster than the 31 year-old Landry.

The workout with the Jets marks the second one Landry has had this offseason, he also attended the Jaguars’ rookie minicamp, but Jacksonville seemed to have no interest in signing the veteran receiver.

While there’s a chance that Landry could find his way onto an expanded training camp roster, don’t expect to see him on the field at MetLife.
