Struggling with the Monday blues? No worries, Adam Schefter delivers more bad news to pile onto the start of the week when he broke news of Cardinals’ Wide Receiver Marquise Brown’s potentially season-ending foot injury in Sunday’s loss to the Seahawks.
“He is undergoing further testing today to determine the extent of the injury,” read Schefter’s tweet.
Brown left Arizona’s locker room with a boot on his left foot after the Cardinals Week 6 loss in Seattle. Hollywood told reporters that x-rays were negative, but he was walking with a noticeable limp. The Cardinals will continue to do more tests on Monday. Kliff Kingsbury said that he hadn’t heard about the severity of Brown’s injury when asked post-game.
Despite the Cardinals getting DeAndre Hopkins back from suspension, the team traded for disgruntled WR Robby Anderson, suggesting the injury is serious.
The 25-yeard old had vastly exceeded expectations in his first year with the Cardinals, ranking as fantasy’s WR6 thus far.
It’s an astronomical loss for fantasy owners. If the injury is season ending, the Cardinals move forward with Hopkins, Anderson, AJ Green & Rondale Moore as their receivers.
