Islanders fourth line centerman Casey Cizikas has been fined $5000, the maximum amount allowed under the collective bargaining agreement.

He barreled into Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Alex Stalock after taking a shot on net. Cizikas was given a five minute major for goaltender interference and then ejected from the game. Stalock was knocked out of the game by the hit and backup goaltender Arvid Soderblom entered the game in relief.

The Islanders would go onto win the game 3-1, notching a fourth consecutive win. They will play the Blues in St. Louis tonight at 8PM.
