Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs (87) walks off the field after defeating the New England Patriots 27-24 in overtime on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Gpg Packers Vs Patriots 10022022 0021

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Packers WR Romeo Doubs was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.

The rookie was injured on the first play against the Lions after catching an 18-yards pass from Aaron Rodgers. Rapoport notes that the injury typically has a 4-6 week time frame but that further tests will be needed. With the fantasy playoffs approaching, fantasy managers can safely drop the 22-year-old rookie. It’s possible he returns at the end of the season, but if the Packers don’t start winning games they could decide to shut it down.

Allen Lazard caught 4-of-10 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown serving as Aaron Rodgers #1 WR. Playing through a shoulder injury, Lazard didn’t seem to be at 100 percent, but he was healthy enough to lead the Packers in every meaningful receiving category. He’ll be a strong flex moving forward.

Sammy Watkins played 81% of the snaps and finished with five targets (2nd) – but was a complete liability. He and Aaron Rodgers appear to have zero chemistry. Samori Toure, Christian Watson, and Amari Rodgers all played sparingly.

It’s a mess in Green Bay.
