New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll said he hopes Saquon Barkley (neck) can play in their Week 14 matchup against the Eagles.

Here we go.

The phenom running back has been dealing with a neck injury, which has limited his practice participation this week. Just yesterday, Giants beat reporter Jordan Raanan said, “Don’t expect it to affect his ability to play but it’s worth noting.”  Fox Sports’ Ralph Vacciano said his “understanding is the injury isn’t serious and [Barkley is] still expected to play.”

After a scorching hot start to the season, Barkley has come back to life, averaging 3.5 yards per carry or less in four-of-five contests. He’s cracked 100 rushing yards once over his past five games and hasn’t had much involvement in the team’s passing offense. He’s is still fantasy’s RB5.

Gary Brightwell and Matt Breida would likely split backfield duties if Barkley is sidelined.
