The White Sox signed OF Victor Reyes to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The 28-year-old outfielder previously played for the Tigers, and now will stay in the division by joining the Sox.

Reyes struggled in 2022 hitting .254 with three homers, 34 RBI and a pair of stolen bases in 336 unaspiring plate appearances.

He’s has upside to become a rotational outfielder (.264 career average) but will need to vastly improve his numbers across the board before the White Sox consider that option. Reyes has been a part-time player across five major league seasons, though he did play in 57/60 games in 2020.

For now, it’s just the White Sox are doing what they do best; nothing.
