LaMelo Ball (left ankle sprain) will make his much anticipated return for the Hornets vs. the Piston tonight.
After 11 straight absences, LaMelo is back. He’s battled a lingering ankle injury for the entirety of the season which has limited the 21-year-old to just three games this year.
Steve Clifford indicated that he’ll play limited minutes, so it may a few games before we see him fully unleashed.
Regardless, it’s a huge spark for the tumbling Hornets who have dropped five in a row en route to a 7-20 start in 27 games.
Ball’s return means either Kelly Oubre or Jalen McDaniels will slide back to the bench.
