(New York, NY) – Legendary NFL QB Aaron Rodgers hinted at his future career plans during an appearance today on the Pat McAfee Show.

The longtime Green Bay Packer and Canton-bound signal caller could be in the market for a new team, per reports. Although Rodgers is under contract with Green Bay – having just signed a three-year extension in March – it appears both sides are open to a change. But Rodgers isn’t saying what’s next, if he’s figured it out already.

Speaking on McAfee’s show, Rodgers said “there’s already conversations going on that aren’t involving me,” noting that’s interesting. He went on to say he’s taking his time, and said a decision will be coming in a “couple weeks,” explaining there are options on his radar.

Some New York football fans hope one of those options involves Rodgers joining Gang Green. Part of that speculation involves the Jets hiring ousted Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator. Hackett is a close personal friend of Rodgers, and the two reportedly worked well together in Green Bay. Rodgers told McAfee he “loves Hack” and his family, calling him his “guy.” He also admitted players have favorite coaches, and that Hackett is one of them.

Rodgers, noting the current NFL season is not yet complete, said a decision won’t be coming until after the Super Bowl.
