NBA: New York Knicks at Brooklyn Nets
(New York, NY) — The Knicks being back in the playoffs is exciting for sure. But maybe watch them on TV.
Premier tickets to the New York Knicks’ first postseason game in two years are going for more than $20,000, with more than $5,000 tacked on in service fees.
A courtside seat on Stubhub is listed at an insane $14,986. $5,251 in “fees” brings it up to $20,238.
If you’re willing to sit a few rows back, tickets range from $1,800 to $12,547 not including fees.
The lowest priced tickets you can get start at $341. But that price jumps to $448.37 after adding in $107.37 in fees. If you’re a family of four, you’re coughing up almost two grand to watch the New York Knicks play playoff basketball.
A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden Sports told the New York Post: “This exorbitant pricing is being driven exclusively by ticket scalpers who are motivated solely by making money off our fans.”
According to him, tickets should start at $168.
