NBA: Playoffs-Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors
(New York, NY) — Another day, another Anthony Davis injury.
The superstar big man exited the Laker Game 5 loss against the Warriors midway through the fourth quarter and did not return after being inadvertently struck on the head by Golden State’s Kevon Looney.
Davis was placed in a wheelchair and carted to a training room after feeling “woozy,” a source told ESPN.
“Obviously everyone saw he took a shot to the head, but we just checked on him,” Lakers coach Darvin Ham said after the game. “He seems to be doing really good already. That’s just where he’s at. That’s the status of it right now.”
Davis is expected to play in Game 6 according to Chris B Haynes of Bleacher Report.
After undergoing tests including checking for a possible concussion it appears The Brow is in the clear.
The Lakers superstar is currently averaging 22.4 ppg, 11.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game so far in the series. Game 6 is Friday at 7 p.m. in Los Angeles.
