NFL: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
(New York, NY) — Don’t expect Jets running back Breece Hall to participate in the team’s optional team activities this week.
Hall continues to recover from an ACL tear that caused him to miss the final 11 weeks of the regular season.
Jets general manager Joe Douglas still has not confirmed whether they expect Hall to be back for the Jets’ season opener against the Bills. He is currently going through NFL return-to-play protocols, but the timeline going forward is unclear.
However, according to Hall he should be good to go for the Jets’ week one matchup versus the Bills.
Head coach Robert Salah says Hall “looks fantastic.” However, a large question mark will be Hall’s workload.
Considering it’s a torn ACL, the Jets may be careful with the number of carries Hall gets until he is 100 percent.
If you are a fantasy football player, it could open up opportunity for Michael Carter and Israel Abanikanda, the latter of who was the 143rd pick in the recent NFL draft.
Prior to his injury, Hall racked up 463 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton also wont participate in OTAs this week.
