(Kansas City, Missouri) — Adding more fuel to the fire.

Ja’Marr Chase recently made headlines for his controversial remarks on Patrick Mahomes. The 23-year-old was adamant about calling Joe Burrow the league’s best quarterback, but didn’t stop there.

“It’s Joe Burrow. Everybody knows that.” Chase said “That’s easy. MVP.”

A reporter mentioned Mahomes’ name in the conversation, prompting the wideouts’ disrespectful “Pat who?” remark. It didn’t take long for Travis Kelce to fire back.

“It is what it is, dog,” Kelce said. “Who doesn’t love some good locker room banter, man? Shoutout to Ja’Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don’t you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now. If you want to talk your s–t, talk your s–t, pimp. Just better back it up.”

The tight end kept it going calling Chase’s comments “a little bold” adding that the Chiefs’ signal-caller is “a two-time league MVP and two-time Super Bowl champion. To say ‘Pat who’ is like… I don’t know.”

Mahomes even got in on the action following the Chiefs Super Bowl ring ceremony tweeting a photo of his two rings and captioning it “That’s Who.”

As the rivalry intensifies the teams are set to meet for the fifth time in five years in week 17.
