(Chicago, Illinois) — Chicago Bears wide receiver Chase Claypool may be looking at a new career path.
After trading the 32nd overall pick, which ended up being Penn State’s Joey Porter Jr, for Claypool, the Bears are now concerned about Claypool’s lack of motivation.
Between minicamp and training camp, Claypool has spent time in Paris, France modeling, according to his Instagram page.
Claypool attended the Feng Chen Wang SS24 runaway show and posted a photo with the caption “always working.”
Another post from Feng Chen Wang shows Claypool was a guest at an event in France alongside other notable athletes such as Karl Anthony-Towns.
Mark Silverman of ESPN reported a few weeks back that the Bears were worried about Claypool motivation since joining the team last season.
“I have heard from a few people inside that building that he is not somebody who is very self-motivated,” Silverman said.
It’s not new or unheard of for players to model during their careers. However, with the concerning report from Silverman, modeling in Paris might can’t be what the Bears want to see.
Claypool tallied only ten catches for 140 yards with Chicago.
