NFL: Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Chargers
(Nashville, TN) — Tennessee Titans running back Hassan Haskins is in hot water.
Police in Davidson County say Haskins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault for an incident that happened on June 22nd, when the running back strangled his girlfriend after an argument.
According to police, Haskins and his girlfriend, Makiah Green, got into a heated debate over her “liking” another man’s Instagram picture.
Haskins reportedly kicked through a door in their home and cocked a handgun, and stated, “I hope you would,” as she threatened to slash his tires after ripping a $5,000 chain from his neck.
“We are aware of the situation and gathering additional information,” the Titans said in a statement to NFL Media.
The 23-year-old was released on $10,000 bond.
The Titans selected Haskins in the fourth round of the 2022 draft. The former Michigan product carried the ball 25 times for 93 yards last season.
Haskins has a court date in Davidson County on July 10th.
