Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the New York Knicks are set to sign shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo on a four-year deal worth $50 million.
The guard’s arrival reunites him with fellow former Villanova Wildcats Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart.
His new teammates wasted no time reacting to the move on Twitter, Brunson jokingly tweeted “Who?” and Hart posting a picture of the three in NY threads.
The trio were crowned National Champions back in 2016 and now look to translate their success to Madison Square Garden.
The 26-year-old averaged 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 72 games last season, while shooting a career-high 39.7% from 3.
NY adds a much-needed sharpshooter accustomed to the winning culture. Starting in 36 games for the Golden State Warriors last season and being a part of the Milwaukee Bucks 2021 NBA Championship.
The DiVincenzo signing marks the first move of free agency for the Knicks.
